Cica - Also known as "Hungarian for cat"

The second day promised to be no less exciting than our first. After a hearty breakfast, including glorious servings of Nutella, we made our way to our first day of Hungarian lessons. Our professor, Erika, dove head first into the complex language, teaching us a mouthful of vocabulary and drilling through pronunciation.

Class broke for lunch, and we split into three groups. Some went to the Goat Herder, a nearby coffee and sandwich shop recommended by Erika. Others headed to the Cat Cafe to take a pause (pun intended) from their work. Another group attempted to reach a different Cat Cafe, only to be disappointed when they found the shop was "closed for technical difficulties." They still managed to get an environmentally friendly lunch at the Ecocafe.

The group from the cat cafe was late once it was time to return to class, eliciting disgruntled stares and groans from the rest of their classmates. However, the disappointment turned into "aww"s when pictures of cats were passed around. Today we learned more about the division algorithm, and went down memory lane back to greatest common divisors and least common multiples.

Class got out at 3:30, which was too late to visit any major attractions before closing, so most of us just decided to get some homework done before dinner. One group headed to dinner with Professor Berliner and Catherine Paro. A few of us went to Ramenca, a more sophisticated place to eat ramen than our dorm rooms. Those craving comfort food went to Fat Mama's. Some who were feeling particularly homesick went over to the KFC right across the road.

Excitedly,
Justin Pacholec, Aaron Telander, and Zareef Kamal
